A) How is Vintage Mural different than other, similar companies?
Here are some important facts:
1. We only print from prints scanned in 2400 DPI, archival quality images. These are old and, in some cases, damaged, images, and we do more than slap them onto tiles. We make sure they meet our quality standards for resolution, clarity, color, and integrity. Many of these old images have undergone an extensive retouching process that takes hours of time and skill developed over years. If an image is not printing ready, we will not offer it on Vintage Mural. Period.
2. Image size not working for your wall? Our customers are not held hostage to the size of the art. In other words, we work within your space. If an image you like is a rectangle but your wall space is a square, we will work with you and adapt the image to fit your requirements. Cropping and revising art is in itself an artform and we are specialists at adapting the art to fit your specific requirements.
3. Our selection is huge and singular. Yes, you will see some images available elsewhere, but you'll also see many more that are not. In addition, if you are looking for an artist or a piece you don't see here, contact us. There's a good chance we have it. We can't put our whole library online, we'd break the internet. :)
4. Unprecedented Customization. Love that Alphonse Mucha bicycle poster but hate the color orange? We can recolorize the image to your specifications.
Want special text, imagery or a logo melded with your selection? Want a vintage collage made up of two, three or more pieces? We can do that, too. We are artists, not merely printers. This fact alone sets us apart as this capability is singular in our field.
5. We're not just murals. Even though murals are our specialty, we also have a wide array of many other products we can customize for you with our huge selection of quality vintage art. These include keepsake boxes, glass cutting boards, glass and ceramic, clocks, throws, pillowcases, floormats, even tee-shirts.

Prices for murals are clearly listed on a graphs listed on each individual murals page in our mural section. Click here for ceramic tile, click here for glass and tumbled stone and click here for ready-to-hang murals. Custom sizes are available that are in increments of the standard tile sizes we have available. Custom sizes must adhere to these standard tile dimensions.
Tile murals must be in increments of either 4" (for tumbled stone only), 4.25", 6", 8" or 12". We do not cut them. They are either square or rectangular in shape. Therefore, we cannot, for example, produce a 13" x 13" mural. It would need to be 12" x 12", which is the closest to that size. Murals come in ceramic, glass or tumbled stone.

You can easily find out exactly what you will be charged for an item by making a "fake" shopping cart. If you decide not to make the purchase, you don't have to. Just abandon your cart and surf away. You will NOT BE CHARGED if you abandon your cart without entering credit card info.

C) How do you make the tiles?
Our tiles are permanent. The dyes and inks will not wash or peel off, as they are a permanent part of the tile. We employ a special process that uses heat and pressure, along with special inks. |

E) How do
I select art for my product? What are my options?
Vintage Mural has ten art galleries brimming with beautiful vintage and fine art. The easiest way to browse the art on this site is this way: see the navigation bar menu on the top of every page? The third one from the left reads, "Select Art." Click on that and you will get a dropdown menu with categories and some subcategories. Or look at the gallery thumbnails on the index page.
Once you've decided on your product and your image, just enter the image name and number into the space provided at checkout. ALL images are available on ALL products on this site. |
F) Do you install the tiles? Can I take the mural with me when I move?
We are not installers, we are artists, crafters and printers. However, we recommend you hire a professional tile installer or, if doing it yourself, use a non-sanded grout available at hardware stores or places like Home Depot. If you want to take the mural with you when you move, don't mount it directly on the wall. Either have a frame made for the mural or mount it on hardwood first, then mount the hardwood to the wall.

H) I live
outside the United States.
Will you ship to me?
Absolutely.
We will ship anywhere in the world. However, there is more than
one way to ship outside the US--and the pricing can be very different
depending on which way you choose. This is why we offer two modes
of shipping. The first is International Express, the other is
International Economy. This way, our friends outside the United
States have a choice. The economy is cheaper, but if you don't
mind waiting four to six weeks for your package, it's the best
way to go. When you check out, you will be given a choice of shipping
mode.
Special note to our Canadian friends: you pay the same shipping rates as our domestic US customers.

I) Payment Options
You have
a couple of options. You can shop online as we accept Visa, Mastercard,
Discover, American Express and PayPal. You may click

You may also fax your order by sending it to 1.802.287.5892. You would
need to include exactly what you are ordering (be specific as
possible), and fill out your credit card information on the form,
including name on card, expiry date, phone number, three-digit
security code and the address the card gets billed to, along with
shipping information.
Or you can send a money order, bank check/certified
check or traveler's check (only US funds will be accepted), by
mailing it to Vintage Mural , PO Box 74, Poultney, VT 05764. Personal
checks and COD's are not accepted. Note: for your own protection,
we do not recommend sending credit card info via email. Email
is not 100% secure unless encoded, and there is always the possibility
of having your credit card information stolen by unsavory individuals.
The safest way to send credit card info is by fax or phone.

J) What are
your return and privacy policies?
RETURNS: As all Vintage Mural products are custom made at the request of our customer, we cannot accept returns unless
they are damaged in shipping. If that happens, we will correct
the problem by either supplying the missing element (if applicable)
or sending brand new merchandise to replace the damaged merchandise,
depending upon the nature of the problem. No store credit or refunds.
PRIVACY:
Email addresses, user information will never be shared for any reason with any one. Ever. We will not hold your credit card information on file unless you specifically ask us to.
